Sama Dog home base is relocating!

If you’re like us, you might be experiencing some silver linings of this Covid-Era. For us, it has brought a lot of insight on what we really want in our lives, especially where and how we want to spend our days.

Although this is a question we’ve asked ourselves on a daily basis for many years, over the past several months, we’ve been strongly reminded that we are the creators of our reality. The artist’s canvas. What would we like to paint?

So, after 18 outstanding years in San Diego, Rene and I have decided to sell our home in the town of Vista and relocate to northern California. If all goes as planned, we’ll be moving to our amazing new property in early March. (pictured above) We’re feeling so blessed to have been part of southern California’s outstanding animal-wellness community, creating bonds and collaboration that will continue for many years to come.

Our services at Sama Dog will remain the same, being that our primary offerings are online education and consultation. Product sales will remain the same, without any delays or changes in shipping. Our boarding services will discontinue in San Diego (which is sad because we LOVE our clients), however we look forward to offering the B&B for Dogs from our new location when the time is right.

On many levels, this move is taking us back “home”. Our destination is Nevada City, California. An eclectic little mountain community which is about 60 miles north-east Sacramento, in the foothills of the Tahoe National Forest. Have you ever heard of it?

As many of you know, I grew up in Lake Tahoe, which has given me a soul-connection with trees, weather, and the nature of that region. And something you may not know is that my husband Rene is reincarnated from the abominable snowman, so mountains are TOTALLY his thing too ;)

Nevada City, California

Nevada City, California

Where the heck is Nevada City and why would we move there?? It’s name, Nevada City, is a bit confusing because this lovely little town located in California, with a population of around 3,000 people. It’s a bursting holistic, natural, spiritual, artistic, nature-loving community, and it’s well-known for having one of America’s top specialty schools, the California College of Ayurveda. The Sivananda Ashram (spiritual community) is also in the neighboring city (Grass Valley), which is where Rene and I have often returned for advanced yoga and meditation training. Multiple other respected natural healing companies and practitioners are based in Nevada City, making the whole area RICH in positive vibes.

Another huge impetus for this move north was to be closer to many of our loved ones, like my two brothers and their families who will be a short drive away. We really look forward to sharing holidays, special moments, and a lot more time together.

Once we get settled, I’ll start sharing with you again my videos, meditations, cooking classes, and more doggie goodness. I’m super excited about this new chapter in our lives and the experiences it will bring as we continue to evolve, grow spiritually, and continue helping humans & animals to live their best lives.

Off we go!!
